The Arsenal emerging star, Jack Wilshere is set to undergo another surgery to his knee as a procedure of recovery process of his knee injury.

The injury has also ruled him out of the Euros that will take place in Poland and Uruguay starting in June.

It is also anticipated that he will also be left out Great Britain’s team for London Olympics, and will also might not be able to feature in pre-season training

I will bring trophies to Emirates : Lukas Podolski

The new Arsenal striker is convinced that he will change the fortunes of Arsenal and get them back to winning trophies by scoring valuable goals for the club.

Although Podolski has termed Premier League to be much more difficult than German Bundesliga, he is confident on adapting to premier league quickly.

Arsenal did finish their season on a high at third position, but Podolski aim for Premier League win.

“It won’t be easy as the Premier League is quite well balanced, certainly across the top six teams who are all very strong. It will be difficult,” Podolski told Arsenal Player.

“But I have joined to win titles and trophies – that is my target. I will do my very best to be successful with Arsenal. They play fast in England, score lots of goals and there are tough battles. I enjoy this style of football, so from that point of view I think I will adapt fairly quickly. I’m a player who plays in a similar style.” he added.

Meanwhile the former boss of Podolski has stated that Arsene Wenger has made a very clever deal by bringing the German player in the team.

“He can play in any team in the world. He was bigger than God in Cologne – you wouldn’t believe it unless you were there,” Solbakken told the Express And Star.

“He’s just had his best ever season with 18 goals from 30 games or something and when we had all those injuries, he carried the team alone for some games.

“He’s physical, he’s played 100 games for Germany and scored 45 goals, so I think he can cope with everything.” he added

Podolski also stated that he will be glad if he gets to partner the Dutch striker, who just had an excellent season with Arsenal.

The Arsenal transfer target has delayed to announce his decision regarding his future at Rennes.

Earlier this week, it was reported that M’Vila has agreed to join Arsenal, but it turned out to be a Rumor, and the Rennes’ sensation has said that he will make the decision soon after the French campaign ends, which is set to be concluding next week.

“I’ll make my decision after the game against Dijon [on Sunday],” M’Vila told RMC.

He continued: “It is true that I would like to improve my game and for that, I have to look elsewhere. Why not in a foreign country?”

Yann did confirm that he would like pursue his career somewhere else other than France.

It is also reported that Arsene Wenger is breaking record breaking club big 15m Euros plus Andre Arshavin for M’Vila.

“I got a call this [Wednesday] morning from the manager and he just explained it to me then – that was about two hours before it was announced. He said it was down to merit and I just have to prove him right,” said Oxlaid-Chamberlain.

“I think I play with no fear, I run at players regardless of who they are and try to make a difference. I have a youthful enthusiasm and I am so excited about this that I will try and take any opportunity with both hands,” he added.

Robin Van Persie not on Juventus Radar

The Arsenal sensation, who scored 30 goals last season, and won the Golden Boot in the English Premier League was earlier getting chased by Juventus to join their club.

But now the Italian club has announced that the Netherlands international’s wages are not to be met by the club as Juventus cannot afford the services of RVP.

The striker spot of Juventus is vacant after their prime player, Del Piero’s contract was not renewed by the owners.

Reports are emerging that Edison Cavani is the latest transfer on Juventus’ Radar. Cavani has scored 48 goals in 68 appearances he made for Napoli.

Arsenal finish league on third position

The 2011/12 season has concluded with Manchester City dramatically winning the title in the last two minutes of the season, which broke the hearts of millions of Manchester United fans. Arsenal finished the league behind the two Manchester clubs, but despite of finishing next to Manchester United, there was a great difference of points between Arsenal and United.

Nevertheless, we should be thankful to have achieved the third position in the English Premier League as at one time qualifying for the Champions League looked a difficult task. This season had ample of competent teams that includes Chelsea, New Castle United and Tottenham Hotspurs fighting for the champions league spot, and in the end the two Manchester Clubs, Arsenal and Spurs made it to Champions League.

Now, I will move on to why it was important to finish third and not fourth, the reason is that Chelsea, though did not qualify from league promotion, are still in UEFA Champions League finale, and if they manage to win the treble then the fourth spot club i.e Spurs will be out of the Champions League next season, and Chelsea will replace them.

Our season was hit by many ups and downs, we gained 24 points from losing positions, and without Jack Wilshere, Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, making it to the third spot is an amazing achievement of Arsene Wenger, and praising him in this short article would not suffice it.

Though we have not won the trophy this season, but we have improved, and improved a lot after losing some key players from our squad.

Score: Stoke City 1-1 Arsenal

Red Cards: None

The match started with a very aggressive intent from both the clubs. Robin Van Persie had a chance but just could not get it home. Soon after the chance came a goal from the home side, thanks to the great closing down technique from the Stoke City players.

Sagna gave the possession away and some quick passing move from the players set up a great position for Ehtrington at the left wing, who crossed the ball to the tall Peter Crouch, who finished it with a great poowering header as Szczesny remained motionless.

Later in the first half of the game, Benayoun took the possession away from Shotton and passed it to Tomas Rosicky, who set up an easy tap in for Robin Van Persie to finish it home.

The equalizing goal got the Gunners’ spirit high and they got the game in their control as chances came from Koscielny and other midfielders, but no one could create that dangerous pass, which would get Gunners on lead.

The second half again started with nightmares for Gunners as Tony Pulis’ side were  completely on top of them, but Szczesny’s top form was saving Arsenal minutes after minutes as he cleared a tame pass from Gibbs and some other plays created by the Stoke players.

Later in the second half, soon after Szczesny saving a great free kick by Jerome, the penalty appeal for Stoke was turned down by Chris Foy as Benayoun tackled Whelan in the box.

The match ended with a draw, and Arsenal could not cement their position on the third place, but nevertheless both teams fought for the one point they earned.

Rennes midfielder Yann on Wenger’s Radar

After an year of tracking, Arsene Wenger is looking to seal the deal of young Rennes strike Yann M’villa by offering a record breaking £18million deal.

Although Wenger has been tracking the French international for an year now, but showed no real interest to sign him. But soon after hearing Manchester United’s interest in the Rennes midfielder, Wenger is ready to sign the young midfielder.

Arsenal have already the signed the 27 year-old striker, Lukas Podolski for a fee of £10million, and are looking to strengthen their squad to the core.

M’Vila said earlier this month: “If it is Wenger who asks you then of course that changes things.”

Wenger will be looking to seal the deal as soon as possible, as Manchester United along with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan both have M’vila on their radar.

This signing would mean a threat to Alex Songs defensive midfield position as he will have to fight for his place in the team.

Wenger confident that Persie will stay

Arsene Wenger has that he is confident that the Netherlands international will sign a new contract with Gunners and continue to wear the red outfit.

Van Persie has been the one man army for Arsenal this season. Scoring 27 goals with ample of assists to his name, he won the Player of the year award from both PFA and FWA.

Although he has only one year remaining in his contract, Wenger is confident that Van Persie will sign a contract, and will stay in Arsenal for long time.

“I am confident for two reasons. First of all I want to convince him to stay here and to extend his contract. Secondly he is not free at the end of this season, he has one year of his contract left anyway.” Wenger Said.

“I believe he was consistent, he had an exceptional year because he scored goals but he was as well a provider,” Wenger said. “I think that’s what people admired with him this season, the fact he was not only a goalscorer but also a guy who provided assists. he added.

“He has grown mentally and you see it better when you look back with a distance. The young player who arrived here and the man he is today, I believe he has grown a lot and made a big, big, massive improvement on that front. He has grown into a leader and he is a great captain now, on and off the pitch.”

Stoke City vs Arsenal: Gunners to continue their fight for 3rd place in Britannia Stadium

The gunners will be travelling to the Britannia stadium this weekend as they will look to strengthen their 3rd Position place in the Barclays Premier League. Britannia Stadium has been an unlucky venue for the gunners as they have only won one game there since 2008. Stoke will be looking to end their winless streak as they have only won one game in their last 7 games. Arsenal, on the other hand, have been going on and off from their path as they suffered a shocking defeat against Wigan, which was followed by a goalless draw against the men in Blues.

Stoke, not having maintained clean sheet in last 7 seven games, are lacking form, but are still ahead of the relegation zone with 14 points clear from it. Tony Pulis will be looking to get his side in the top half of the table as only 4 points separate the 8th to 14th spot. The lack of clean sheets show that Stoke’s defense has been lacking the inspiration, which gives Arsenal an advantage to exploit their defense.

For Arsenal, it has been injuries, which have let them down. Theo Walcott and Mikel Arteta, both the integral part of Arsenal’s midfield, have been said to miss rest of the season, which has invited a major danger for Arsenal, and could lose their 3rd position, provided the three other contenders for that spot have easy games in hand.

Having lost their two midfielders, Arsenal will be playing with Yossi Benayoun on left and Oxlade Chamberlain on right, whilst Rosicky and Van Persie will lead the attack up front. Song and Ramsey will be the completing the holding midfield role.

Van Persie won PFA Player of the year award, though he has been suffering from goal drought, but still tops the leading goal scorer in the premier league. The award would provide some motivation to him, and he would be looking to increase his goal scoring record.

Prediction: Arsenal will be able to ace it as both the sides are no top of the form, which gives advantage to Arsenal.

Odds (Bet365): Stoke 10/3, Draw 13/5, Arsenal 5/6
